Summer 2021 2-Week Family Dive Trip to Cozumel
Our diving during the pandemic has been severely limited. We kept telling ourselves that once we were vaccinated and the numbers started looking better, we were going somewhere for at least two weeks and dive all we could. We were able to plan a trip mid-July 2021 to Cozumel.
We love Cozumel. The diving is great. The island is easy to get around. The people are great. And, we can almost always find affordable direct flights from Chicago, where we live.
We managed to get in 21 dives on this trip, including some certification dives (I’ll write a separate post about certifications). Because we had such a good experience with them on our boys trip in March, we chose to go with ScubaLife Cozumel again. Newer fast boats, personalized service, and great guides. How can you go wrong?
Being around for two weeks, you’re obviously going to repeat some dive locations, but on this trip we were able to hit Yucab, Palancar Caves, the C53 Shipwreck, Santa Rosa Wall, Delila, Columbia, Tormentos, San Clemente, San Francisco, Paso de Cedral, Palancar Bricks, La Francesca, Columbia, and Palancar Gardens, as well as a couple of shore dives at Robert’s Scuba Shack.
It’s really too much to put in a single post. So, here are a few highlights, I’ll try to get around to posting about some of the individual standout moments.
